Waiting for littleun to turn up - got 6 weeks to go, so definitely no summer holiday. Will see how things pan out and maybe get to our family place in Marbella in October or might rent a house in Fueturaventura November time.

Malta would be great that time of year. Problem is though, if you're in the school holidays (is the six weeks holiday still going then?) everywhere will be expensive by now.
Also look at Croatia on the coast, Palma and the far west of the Algarve (Sagres sort of way)
All nice places and won't have the sunburnt UK tourist you would want to avoid. Well, maybe not Palma, but at least a better class of them

A week in Alcudia with my 2 youngest boys (16 &13), 1st week of August.

A week in Barcelona for Mrs worms sisters birthday. About 20 of us going so should be good fun.
Probably do another couple of long weekends over the summer.
